REVIEW

Thank you to TBR and Beyond Tours for the eARC in exchange for my honest review!

When a group of friends goes on a spring break trip in an RV, they don’t expect to break down in the middle of no where, and they definitely don’t expect to be hunted down by a sniper who knows their secrets.

This was a gripping thriller with all the twisty elements of a classic Holly Jackson novel! She made it easy to feel the tension and fear cumulating in the group as they were picked off and exposed with such a confined space. I love stories where each character has a dark secret they want to keep hidden, it gives so much added depth and curiosity, even if the characters are unlikeable because you want to know what they are hiding. I loved the Good Girls Guide to Murder series so it was no surprise that this would be a top notch read for me! I was nervous to see the follow up to that beloved series but I think this was an excellent new route that kept the same essential vibes we all love from Jackson

With a slower start, this story unfolds into an action-packing ending full of surprises. Some things I ended up guessing but it didn’t detract from the fun of finding out the bigger reveals! If you like dark YA thriller mysteries I recommend you check this one out!

About the Author:

Holly Jackson was born in 1992. She grew up in Buckinghamshire and started writing stories from a young age, completing her first (poor) attempt at a book aged fifteen.

‘A Good Girl’s Guide to Murder’ is a YA Mystery Thriller and her debut novel. She lives in London and aside from reading and writing, she enjoys binge-playing video games and pointing out grammatical errors in street signs.

This Is her chance to define her own destiny and try to save thee world.   MY THOUGHTS: If I had to describe this book in one word it would be captivating. I have never read anything quite like it. The concept, the most unique twist on a zombie-like-apocalypse (emphasis on like) I’ve ever encountered, was amazing! Sea captains, curses, action, rom...

REVIEW: Hot British Boyfriend by Kristy Boyce

🇬🇧REVIEW: Hot British Boyfriend by Kristy Boyce ☕️ What it’s about:       Ellie is publicly rejected by her crush in the most mortifying way, complete with a viral internet video and everything. She jumps at the chance to study abroad in England and far away from her humiliation. The program is dominated by honors students, which Ellie is not, however she is willing to take on the extra work for the chance to explore the places of her dreams and hopefully meet a new British boy to put her old crush to shame. Ellie meets Will, perfect and posh, and she vows to keep him interested in her. She makes a deal with her classmate Dev, who knows a lot about Will’s interests, to tutor her in exchange for helping him gain her own roommates attention. Ellie is whisked into an abroad romance of her dreams, surrounded by beautiful cities and history, but is that really solving her problems? And is the perfect British boyfriend really perfect for her?  —— My review:...
