Throne of Glass by Sarah J. Maas | Review





    I recently participated in a read-a-long with Tika (fANGIRLavue.blogspot.com) and Jen (jennieelousisee.blogspot.co.uk). You can find their thoughts on their blogs! We read Throne of Glass by Sarah J. Maas because we all wanted to read it! The read-a-long followed a schedules which you can find on Tika's blog! (No spoilers)


DAY 1: So far, the book started out a little slow. The world is very interesting and I really like the story. There has been a lot of world building and there are a lot of places. I think this book has the potential to live up to it's raving reviews!

DAY 2: I really like Celaena. I think she has a awesome personality. She isn't one of those fake book characters who has the perfect everything. I think Chaol is great. He is caring and I think he is going to take very good care of Celaena.

DAY 3: I don't think there is just one chapter I would rewrite, rather than a part of one or two.

DAY 4: I really loved the chapter(s) that featured the Ball because it was full of DORIAN, and lets not forget how they danced all night!  I also loved it when he gave her the dog Fleetfoot. (I don't have a specific "team" I like Chaol and Dorian equally)

DAY 5: Ah! What an ending! The whole ending literally had me shaking! I almost threw my book! I really enjoyed this book! I think it completely reached my expectations. I'm so excited to read the sequel.


Rating: 4.5 stars. I think if the beginning was more fast paced I would have given it a full 5 stars!

Book Haul!

     I have collected quite a few books recently and have been dying to share!    In The Afterlight by Alexandra Bracken - This book is the third and final book in the Darkest Minds trilogy. It follows Ruby and the friends she makes along her journey. The children in the world have been affected by a disease giving them one of the powers below, which are categorized by colors.       1. Greens- Intellengence       2. Blues- telekinesis       3. Yellows- electricity       4. Oranges- mind control       5. Reds- fire             The unaffected adults have put the kids in basically what are concentration camps. Ruby escapes with the help of a friendly adult and meets people along the way of trying to find the cure and free the camps. She faces plenty of difficulties along the way.
