Random Sunday!

Today, I decided to start a new thing here on my blog called Random Sunday! Basically, it is where I make a blog post about a random topic, bookish or unbookish, once a week. So this week, let's talk about contemporarys!

Contemporarys are one of my favorite young adult genres. But I hate most of their endings. The whole story leads up to the main characters falling in love, right? It's all sweet and romantic, and sometimes tear worthy. But when they FINALLY get together, the book ends. You shut the book and think, "Why did it have to end?!" All I want is for them to be longer! I want to see what happens while they are together. I want all cute couple spats. But no! It's over.

Now if your still reading this after my rant, let me name a few of my favorites.

1. My Life Next Door by Huntley Fitzpatrick. I LOVE this book with all of my heart.

2. Anything Stephanie Perkins. No explanation needed.

3. John Green novels. I haven't read Paper Towns yet. I've heard mixed things about it. Do you recommend it?

4. Fangirl by Rainbow Rowell ( why haven't I read Eleanor and Park? Good question.)

5. The Summer I turned Pretty Trilogy. These books are extremely fast reads.

I'm a real sucker for love stories. I love them all! Even some of the cheesy ones. Thanks for tuning in for this Random Sunday! Comment below and let me know your thoughts on contemporarys, and your favorites. Also, prepare for a trilogy review on The Darkest Minds as I am halfway through In The Afterlight!

Her older sister in now the Commander of their settlement, while her younger sister, Vanessa, is the Chosen One— the one destined to end the curse, meaning Charlotte is still stuck in their shadows. When they are raided, Charlotte declares herself the Chosen One in order to save her sisters, and she must keep up her lie if she wants to keep them and Dean safe, and better yet, stay alive herslef. This Is her chance to define her own destiny and try to save thee world.   MY THOUGHTS: If I had to describe this book in one word it would be captivating. I have never read anything quite like it. The concept, the most unique twist on a zombie-like-apocalypse (emphasis on like) I’ve ever encountered, was amazing! Sea captains, curses, action, rom...

REVIEW: Hot British Boyfriend by Kristy Boyce

🇬🇧REVIEW: Hot British Boyfriend by Kristy Boyce ☕️ What it’s about:       Ellie is publicly rejected by her crush in the most mortifying way, complete with a viral internet video and everything. She jumps at the chance to study abroad in England and far away from her humiliation. The program is dominated by honors students, which Ellie is not, however she is willing to take on the extra work for the chance to explore the places of her dreams and hopefully meet a new British boy to put her old crush to shame. Ellie meets Will, perfect and posh, and she vows to keep him interested in her. She makes a deal with her classmate Dev, who knows a lot about Will’s interests, to tutor her in exchange for helping him gain her own roommates attention. Ellie is whisked into an abroad romance of her dreams, surrounded by beautiful cities and history, but is that really solving her problems? And is the perfect British boyfriend really perfect for her?  —— My review:...
