What it’s about: 
Naledi Smith is a busy grad student working multiple jobs who has no time for happily ever afters. She’s fed up with the spam emails filling her inbox claiming she is be
trothed to an African prince, yeah, sure! Ledi knows she is the only one she can depend on after being a foster kid as long as she can remember.... Prince Thabiso, sole heir to the kingdom of Thesolo, is under constant scrutiny to get married. He manages to track down his missing betrothed only for Ledi to mistake him for a new coworker she has to train. Thabiso can’t resist the opportunity to feel normal for once and really get to know her without his title in the way. The lab isn’t the only place Ledi is finding chemistry anymore but the truth always comes out...
My thoughts: 
I ADORED THIS! This was my Valentine’s Day read for the year and I have zero regrets. I listened on audio and it made it all the better! The narrator truly immersed me in the authors world, full of hilarious dialogue, steamy romance, and all the drama a person could want! Naledi was an amazing character, I loved her scientific aspirations and the feminist aspects of the story, especially concerning women of color too. Her inner turmoil throughout the story and character development was so good. She was so mature in handling issues in relationships of all kinds. This novel really emphasized healthy relationships with good communication. Thabiso was such a heartthrob! Literally swoon-worthy in every way. It was nice seeing him come down to Earth and realize his true priorities. The chemistry between the two was unparalleled in my opinion. I loved seeing the culture of Thesolo and the discussions that opened up as well. Overall, this is an amazing romance, fast-paced and full of good messages. I cannot recommend it enough!

Book Haul!

     I have collected quite a few books recently and have been dying to share!    In The Afterlight by Alexandra Bracken - This book is the third and final book in the Darkest Minds trilogy. It follows Ruby and the friends she makes along her journey. The children in the world have been affected by a disease giving them one of the powers below, which are categorized by colors.       1. Greens- Intellengence       2. Blues- telekinesis       3. Yellows- electricity       4. Oranges- mind control       5. Reds- fire             The unaffected adults have put the kids in basically what are concentration camps. Ruby escapes with the help of a friendly adult and meets people along the way of trying to find the cure and free the camps. She faces plenty of difficulties along the way.
