Swoonuary: A Valentine's Day Special With The Bookish Groupies!

The Hello beautiful ladies, and welcome to the Bookish Groupies first annual event, Swoonuary!

Are you in the mood for a sugary sweet romance? What about a contemporary so cute, you're left squealing like a school girl? If you are, then perfect, because that is what Swoonuary is all about! After reading quite a bit of fantasy and science fiction lately, the girls and I are ready to dive back into the land of hook ups & heartbreaks, happily ever afters, and happily never fucking again . . . well the last part might be something I'm looking for, but you get the idea. All month long, we've decided to read both romance & contemporary novels in Lieu of Valentines day, the day for all things cheesy. But what fun what it be if we didn't have other bloggers join us? That's where you all come in . . .

Now before you start sweating bullets, there are NO RULES to this event! It's really about dusting off those lovey-dovey books that have been collecting dust on your shelves. But even better, it's about celebrating the holiday with some blogger friends here in the community, and how do we turn up? By reading!

All that we ask is that you read atleast ONE romance or contemporary for the month if you're participating.Would it be cool if you read more than one? Of course, but we know you guys have other obligations, so how many you read & what you read, is completely up to you! When posting about Swoonuary, make sure you link back to one or all of us: JennieMalloryAngBlessie, & Tika, and don't forget to add your name to the linky widget at the bottom of this post!

There's no challenge, no pressure, we just want this to be fun. So if this sounds like something you'd want to partake in, let us know! We already have a few bloggers on board, ready to whip out they're roughed up romance novels with the Fabio covers! Let's get it ladies!

That's pretty much it you guys. This event is just about coming together & reading some swoony reads! Whether it's a steamy, sexy read, or a book that has you so heart broken you're eating your favorite icecream & watching Lifetime, join the Bookish Groupies as we get ready for Valentines Day!

What I plan to read:

  1. Amour Amour by Krista & Becca Ritchi

When I was first asked to do this post, I had a completely different theme planned. But in light of recent events that have happened in my personal life, I knew the only thing that seemed relevant was Friendship. If I could have a Loot Crate with anything I ever wanted inside, friendship seems like the perfect theme.

Item #1     As a proud book blogger, I couldn't have a subscription box without a book. When it came to the topic of friendship the first book that came to my mind was none o…

My 2018 in Books So Far...

Hello booklovers! I decided that a wrap up of what I have read in 2018 so far would be a great way to jump back into my blog! This year started out as amazing reading year for me already. While towards the end of February I did start to dwindle off some with reading, I am still happy with what I have accomplished so far! So without further ado...

JANUARY #1- Through the Woods by Emily Carroll

I started off 2018 with some Graphic Novels. This one was so interesting and unique. Some of the stories gave me chills! I couldn't stop reading. IT was just the right amount of creepy and beautiful. The art was so amazing and I absolutely loved the color schemes.

Hamilton Book Tag

The musical, Hamilton, has been my favorite thing for over a year now. I have been utterly obsessed and I even give it credit for me passing my AP History exam. Considering all this, I thought it was about time I do the Hamilton Book Tag! This tag was created by Maureen Keavy.  Also, if you haven't listened to Hamilton yet, One, What are you even doing wit your life? Two, Go listen!

1. The Room Where It Happens: A book world you would put yourself into

The first answer that came to my head was Harry Potter, obviously. But, if I'm trying to be unique I would have to say the A Court of Thorns and Roses series, more specifically, The Night Court, for obvious reasons.

2. The Schuyler Sisters: An Underrated Female Character

Seriously why are all my answers automatically Harry Potter? I recently binge watched all the Harry Potter movies over Winter Break with my sister, so maybe that is why. Its no secret that Luna Lovegood is one of my favorite characters from the series…
