Random Sunday!

Today, I decided to start a new thing here on my blog called Random Sunday! Basically, it is where I make a blog post about a random topic, bookish or unbookish, once a week. So this week, let's talk about contemporarys!

Contemporarys are one of my favorite young adult genres. But I hate most of their endings. The whole story leads up to the main characters falling in love, right? It's all sweet and romantic, and sometimes tear worthy. But when they FINALLY get together, the book ends. You shut the book and think, "Why did it have to end?!" All I want is for them to be longer! I want to see what happens while they are together. I want all cute couple spats. But no! It's over.

Now if your still reading this after my rant, let me name a few of my favorites.

1. My Life Next Door by Huntley Fitzpatrick. I LOVE this book with all of my heart.

2. Anything Stephanie Perkins. No explanation needed.

3. John Green novels. I haven't read Paper Towns yet. I've heard mixed things about it. Do you recommend it?

4. Fangirl by Rainbow Rowell ( why haven't I read Eleanor and Park? Good question.)

5. The Summer I turned Pretty Trilogy. These books are extremely fast reads.

I'm a real sucker for love stories. I love them all! Even some of the cheesy ones. Thanks for tuning in for this Random Sunday! Comment below and let me know your thoughts on contemporarys, and your favorites. Also, prepare for a trilogy review on The Darkest Minds as I am halfway through In The Afterlight!

When I was first asked to do this post, I had a completely different theme planned. But in light of recent events that have happened in my personal life, I knew the only thing that seemed relevant was Friendship. If I could have a Loot Crate with anything I ever wanted inside, friendship seems like the perfect theme.

Item #1     As a proud book blogger, I couldn't have a subscription box without a book. When it came to the topic of friendship the first book that came to my mind was none o…

My 2018 in Books So Far...

Hello booklovers! I decided that a wrap up of what I have read in 2018 so far would be a great way to jump back into my blog! This year started out as amazing reading year for me already. While towards the end of February I did start to dwindle off some with reading, I am still happy with what I have accomplished so far! So without further ado...

JANUARY #1- Through the Woods by Emily Carroll

I started off 2018 with some Graphic Novels. This one was so interesting and unique. Some of the stories gave me chills! I couldn't stop reading. IT was just the right amount of creepy and beautiful. The art was so amazing and I absolutely loved the color schemes.

Hamilton Book Tag

The musical, Hamilton, has been my favorite thing for over a year now. I have been utterly obsessed and I even give it credit for me passing my AP History exam. Considering all this, I thought it was about time I do the Hamilton Book Tag! This tag was created by Maureen Keavy.  Also, if you haven't listened to Hamilton yet, One, What are you even doing wit your life? Two, Go listen!

1. The Room Where It Happens: A book world you would put yourself into

The first answer that came to my head was Harry Potter, obviously. But, if I'm trying to be unique I would have to say the A Court of Thorns and Roses series, more specifically, The Night Court, for obvious reasons.

2. The Schuyler Sisters: An Underrated Female Character

Seriously why are all my answers automatically Harry Potter? I recently binge watched all the Harry Potter movies over Winter Break with my sister, so maybe that is why. Its no secret that Luna Lovegood is one of my favorite characters from the series…
